A Long Island Native, Kristy fell in love with lacrosse as a seventh-grader at Smithtown Middle School. As a decorated four-year varsity player, she received the All-League Award and then went on to join the Empire State Team. Kirsty’s love for lacrosse and love for guiding children led her to the fields of teaching and coaching. Kristy coached several undefeated teams as the head coach of Shoreham Wading River Lacrosse in New York and her teams won the Division B and Division A “Battle of the Bay” Championship locally at Monster’s Lacrosse. She was the head junior varsity coach for Out of Door Academy’s undefeated season in 2015 and the assistant coach to their Varsity team the following two years and served as the head coach of Manatee High School in 2020. Many will recognize Kristy as she has led several lacrosse clinics in Manatee and Sarasota counties as well as volunteering on the sidelines for many Wildcats lacrosse games. A Florida “Teacher of the Year” nominee, Kristy positively impacted the lives of hundreds of Manatee County students for 13 years before teaming up with her husband to sell real estate.
"I have often considered coaching (athletics) to be the highest form of teaching. As the head varsity girls lacrosse coach, I will help my players develop a passion for the game by providing them with the necessary tools they need to play the game successfully in a positive, fun and safe environment. I consider building the character of the person just as important as developing the skills of the player. I will teach my players through my words and actions the value of respect, resilience, empathy, teamwork and sportsmanship that will benefit them long after their youth lacrosse days are over. Paying time I determined by work ethic, attitude and skill."
